Meaghan Sands



“Meaghan Sands is a classically-trained opera singer, beltress, and comedienne.”

She has been a featured soloist at Feinstein’s/54 Below, Birdland Jazz Club, The Streicker Center, Bruno Walter Auditorium at Lincoln Center, Bronx Opera, and has performed with The Metropolitan Opera (Parsifal, Verdi Requiem, Fidelio). Meaghan is a mainstay performer at the BMI Lehman Engel Musical Theatre Workshop and works as a commercial freelance artist, both in singing and voice-over work.

Meaghan has toured the United States and Europe as a concert soloist and chorale singer, notable performances including Samual Barber’s. She debuted the role of Heidi in Derailed for the 2019 Across a Crowded Room Series and was a featured soloist for “Hello, Gorgeous,” singing the music of Barbra Streisand for the opening night concert at The Streicker Center. Meaghan has toured the United States and Europe as a concert soloist and chorale singer, notable solo performances including Samuel Barber’s “Knoxville: Summer of 1915” with the Anderson Symphony Orchestra, Beethoven’s Choral Fantasy with the American Festival Chorus, and the mezzo-soprano soloist in “Fern Hill” with the Anderson Philharmonic Choir.

Some favorite role performances include the Baker’s Wife in Sondheim’s Into the Woods at Beef & Boards Theater, Cherubino in Opera Columbus’s Marriage of Figaro, Wowkle in Indianapolis Opera’s Fanciulla del West, the Prince in Fayetteville Opera’s The Little Prince, and singing in the Utah Festival Opera & Musical Theater Festival. In Meaghan’s free time, she enjoys creating characters, playing pranks on her husband, and reading fantasy novels.
